Although primarily used in exterior applications, this stone is found in iconic buildings and institutions worldwide. It is used in stair cases, general flooring and as exterior cladding. Limestone is a hard sedimentary rock, composed mainly of calcium carbonate or dolomite, it is used as a building material and in the making of cement. It is a combination of many different fossils, calcium carbonate and shells. Pure limestone is primarily white in colour.
